Ethel Violet (nee Lingwood) b.1885 married Albert Mizon (born ?) married in 1904 and emigrated to Canada sometime after that. Does anyone have any information about them?

Ethel and Albert had two children: I believe their names to be Albert & Rose.

I have found a Gertrude Mizon and family who emigrated to Quebec in 1923 but this is not the family I am looking for (although they might of course be related).

I even looked for them at Pier 21 in Halifax when I visited Canada a few years ago but it doesn't look as though they embarked there.

I know this is like looking for a needle in a haystack but.........ever hopeful!

Thanks Marie Celeste, as I said in my query Ethel was born in Edmonton, England. The spelling is definitely Mizon as per marriage certificate. She could be the passenger you mention (and Mizen is spelt incorrectly). But I wonder why she is listed as Mrs. Mizen and yet recorded as being single with a marital occupation of wife? Very confusing.

Thanks to you too Andrew. Susan Ida Sarah Lingwood was definitely Ethel's mother. Marie Celeste: your finding is very spooky indeed. Charles Henry Lingwood, Ethel's father, was still alive in 1904 but he died at the young age of 39 a year later in 1905....now I've got goosebumps.

This is the full transcription of the 18911 that Andy posted:

MIZON, Ethel Wife Married 1 years F 25 1886 House Work London Stains
MIZON, Ceatery Daughter F 4 1907 London Edmonton
MIZON, Emily Daughter F 1 1910 London Edmonton

Registration District: Edmonton Sub District: Edmonton Enumeration District: 1 Parish: Edmonton

Although it shows 1 year married, the original says 7. They had 3 babies, 2 surviving.

Albert's occupation is actually General Labourer at Tottenham Goo House (whatever is that?!)

Thank you Calharne. My mum remembers her father writing to the family but contact was lost and all she has is a photograph of Ethel standing outside her house somewhere in Canada. I can now let her know where they rest.
