on the 1907 wedding certificate he was listed as a footman - sorry for the delay but it's going really slow now!!

It is strange that James seems to have disappeared, still will order the birth certificate of Lilian Agnes in 1907 and see who her parents are.

Can you list all the details from the marriage certs? I mean names, ages, occupations, witnesses, etc.

It does seem odd that she never uses the name Cox after 1912.

I don't think she used her maiden name - Cox after her first marriage in 1907.
I was just wondering if Sarah and James could be the parents of Lilian Agnes who was born in July 1907, so will order the certificate and see what the parents names are!
Her address is the same on both wedding certificates, her father (Thomas) is on both and she has a different brother as a witness - John on the 1907 and Alfred on the 1915

Hi - that's him, he was a year older than my nan, she was born 1886, so that would make him born 1885 .
On their wedding certificate James lived in West......., Sunningdale - can't make out the place

There's a Lilian Amy Sadler born Berkshire in 1911 with a family of Winchesters. Don't have access so I can't see the details. Can't seem to find a birth on FreeBMD for her.

I think the one I need to find out about is Lilian Agnes Sadler, whose birth is registered in Windsor in the 3rd quarter 1907.

In 1912 my nan had her daughter, Margaret and Maureen found my nan on the 1911 census living with my grandad and taking his name - Pheby.

But there's no matching birth for Lilian Amy Sadler and she is born in the correct area. Just wondering if Agnes has been written down as Amy by mistake.

I think the best thing will be to order the birth certificate of Lilian who was born in 1907 - it may be possible that she is the child of Sarah Ann (nee Cox) and James Alfred Sadler.
