I believe this may be the marriage of George and Susan in 1851:

Marriages Sep 1851
LINGARD George Orsett 12 261
SULLINGS Susan Orsett 12 261
Sullins Susan Orsett 12 261

- obviously a variation in spelling of her name. There is a Samuel Sulings as lodger in 1881.

Maud's baptism?

London, England, Births and Baptisms, 1813-1906

Name: Maud Elizabeth Jane Lingard
Record Type: Baptism
Birth Date: 13 Mar 1896
Baptism Date: 29 Mar 1896
Father's Name: William John Lingard
Mother's Name: Ellen Lingard
Parish or Poor Law Union: Bromley St Leonard St Mary

This would make her 17 when she married. Young, but acceptable.

Possibly Susan in 1841:

SULLINGS, Edward M 35 1806 Essex << Sawyer
SULLINGS, Susanna F 35 1806 Essex
SULLINGS, Ann F 15 1826 Essex
SULLINGS, John M 14 1827 Essex
SULLINGS, Samuel M 12 1829 Essex
SULLINGS, Susanna F 10 1831
SULLINGS, Sarah F 5 1836

Registration District: Orsett Sub District: Orsett

Civil Parish: West Tilbury Municipal Borough:

Address: Cottage, West Tilbury County: Essex

The Samuel with her in 1881 appears to be her brother.

Thanks Tony. Her death ties in with the birth year of 1896. The middle initials tie in with the baptism I posted for Maud.

Can't find a marriage for Susan to William Barnard, but that's not surprising. People often lived together with the woman taking the man's name, particularly if she'd been married before.

Could be her death registered in her first married name:

England & Wales, FreeBMD Death Index: 1837-1915

Name: Susan Lingard
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1831
Year of Registration: 1890
Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun
Age at Death: 59
District: West Ham
County: Essex, Greater London
Volume: 4a

Tony - Susan was Maud's grandmother (mother of William John Lingard).

Maud's mother was Ellen Moore, who William married in 1886. (I posted that marriage on page 1).
