In 1871& 1881 Census he was born about 1836
I dont know which is true???

Sally has requested 1911 lookup for Richard and Mary:

Could someone please lookup 1911 Census Richard and Mary Mainwaring. Richard was born Liverpool 1836 and Mary born Staffordshire 1841. They where married in Liverpool don't know the year or if any children would be living with them. They maynot be alive then, but would love to find them.

I'm not seeing anything for them - perhaps it's more a case of finding their deaths?

I have Burslem staffordshire for Mary. Richard was a Joiner on son James's marriage certificate. So it could be chair maker instead of chain maker.
