Thanks everyone you've been a great help. It looks like sarah was about ten years older than james although this was one of the questions why I thought emily had a different father, because he was born c1823.

That could be sarah but she says she was born in chichester or arundel sussex or did they make it up as they went along depending on where they were living at the time

There is a "GOONS" (Gulid Of One Name Study) for KILLICK and it's varients
