Hello there me again !!! thankyou all so very much for your helping me find details of my ancestor louisa fruish, but guess what im stuck again, im looking for her second husband alfred henry payton born approx 1867 clerkenwell, i know his father too was called alfred but i cant find anything prior to 1901 when he lived in stoke newington with louisa and there children alfred john and ada florence, thankyou heather

Hi, thankyou for your replys, i am not sure if this is the man im looking for, the definatesi have are my grandmother Ada Florence Payton born c 1898 her father was Alfred Henry Payton born c1867 Clerkenwell, i have the London England Marriages and Bans 1754 - 1921 which shows Alfred Henry Payton est YOB 1868 married Louisa Ellen Fruish on 7 October 1894, it shows the grooms father as Alfred Payton a railway Stamper???

Hi anyone got any news on Alfred Payton im still digging and cant find a thing, except im sure he was Alfred Henry and not Henry as per the earlier post cause that doesnt fit with the 1901 and 1911 census am stumped

Ji Jan thankyou for replying, im trying to find my great grandfather who was Alfred Henry Payton, I have him as being born in Clerkenwell approx 1867 and he was married to Loisa Fruish, the 1901 census shows him as married to Louisa and lived with his son Alfred John, daughter Ada Florence (my grandmother) and stepson Charles Fruish, but unfortunately i cant find anything before 1901, someone kindly sent me some info for a Henry Payton but i am sure this is not him as the 1901 and 1911 census dont tie in with the names, thankyou Heather
