Have you tried the search trees to find your cousins? are they actually members of this site? If not it is very unlikely they will see your post |

I have posted on living relatives in the hope i might make contact with any cousins. My father didn't have anything to do with his family after 1957, before i was born, therefore it would be nice to get to know any family, plus they might know more about my grandfather who i can't find on any census or trees. I have made contact with a Hyde family member by leaving a message on another site in this way, so there can't be any harm in trying. |

Yes i have the death cert for Albert but sadly it doesn't say where he was born. I have made contact with a member of the family above but they have told me they don't think that is my Albert. How they can be so sure i don't know. I did ask them what happened to Albert, who he married etc but they didn't answer me. |

Have you actually got the death cert for Albert? In recent years they show the place and date of birth but I dont know if that would be so in 1940 but its worth a try |

De Mello is a Portugese name as is Rogue -I also found that John but they seem to be rather more affluent than Gamekeepers.Althought he spelling looks clear on the marriage register it could possibly be Rayne or Royne -though I have tried all the John R's I could find |

It seems the name Rogue or sometimes spelled Rague is quite popular with the De Mello's, there's quite a few of them. |

I'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks John Rogue doesn't exist, i think i have searched every BMD and Census going. It's such a shame i don't have any siblings names. In 1901 Albert would of been about 11 so i would of thought he would of been at home but who knows. It would be great if you could find Albert in the intervening years. |

Pity it seems that John R was John Richard Parks and not John Rogue Parks (who doesnt seem to exist! as far as BDMs and censuses areconcerned anyway) |

Thank you for all the info, i was kind of hoping there might be a connection between Thomas and John. I know the spelling of the name was different but that has happened before. Back to looking again !. |

I think it is more likely that the witness is actually Thomas Bizzell who lived next door to 100 Rodney Place in 1911. His name is Bizzell from 1870 when he was born and not Bissell. It may be that when they married they just asked two unconnected people to be witnesses, either neighbours or work colleagues. |
