I said my geography was bad but did not realise it was SO bad!!!

Helen I have tried with that name and just searched for any Weeks child born Bermondsey around 1843 but nothing remotely like her name came up

Her youngest sibling Charlotte born 1850 should have appeared on the 1861 age about 10,but I couldn't trace her either on that census with or without the parents

realised I'm spending too much time on this site - last night I dreamt someone had emailed me the birth certificate of Bethune and I was in the process of printing it off when I woke up - if only I had managed to read it through before waking!!!

I've had a look this morning for a child called Elizabeth with parents Edward and Kezia I searched 5 years either side of 1843 so no luck there

then I thought perhaps Bethune wasn't their child so just searched with the forename in England thinking that perhaps she may have been born to other parents perhaps in Kent where Edward and his brother Thomas were born,but no luck with that

I have the BMD's for all of the other siblings of my ancestor Emily Kezia Weeks,except for Bethune!
Why would the parents baptise the other children and not her? her birth is not registered under that forename either
Also not even a burial for her if she died, or marriage.
I'm at a loss and will have to shelve this enquiry I think

They had a daughter Charlotte Weeks married 16/3/1868,she was aged 17 so born @ 1851.
Her dad is down as Edward and was witnessed by Kezia Weeks.
Charlotte married James Darvill born @ 1869.

Residence at time of marriage Bethnal Green.

I have that record,Kezia's parents lived in that area . Caroline was was the eldest of the children.The family were living in Union street,Shoreditch at that time.Then they make the move to Bermondsey.

Bethune is either a mistranscriped or a middle name ,as no birth records being found?

Hi,
Sorry to have taken so long getting back.
I've been checking my tree to see what I do have,in case I've missed something out.

Edwards brother Thomas married Kezia's sister Mary and Edward and Kezia were witness's to that marriage in 1835

It looks like this entire family is a huge brick wall for me.
What other records are there to search through that are not on line.Perhaps a trip to London at some point would help me
