All I know is from his daughter Annie Hughes' marriage certificate when she married Walter Budd in 1879 in Manchester. Edward Hughes is her father and is described as a Labourer. Annie was 21 year old Factory Operative in 1879 . Edward is my great great grandad.
I hope as this is a different family member I am allowed to start a new thread for it?
Thank you.

Shirley,
Completely different side of the family, nothing to do with anyone I have ever posted about before, he is on my maternal granny's side, and I think if i start tagging this on the end of everything else it will make it even more confusing for you?? Surely it's better to have a separate family member from a different branch on a separate thread?? :-\
I understand your need for organisation but anyone seeing this tagged on the end of the Samuel Morris thread for example might see it and think " Well, I 've seen that 10 times already and it reached a dead end " ( which it did ).
So in answer to your point, no, this is a different family. Thank you.
