Hello,
Can anybody please help me trace the parents and any siblings of the above person.I think the maiden name of her mother was Hurdman!

This is the best I can come up with. Perhaps Freda's mother was married before.

Yes, certs are the only way.

Unless you're lucky enough to find a baptism and they don't often give the mother's maiden name.


Finding a marriage before the birth helps, but even so it is educated guesswork. However in the above case it looks like Albert married an Ada who didn't have the surname Hurdman. So not your man.

The only sure way to know the parents names is by buying the cert. unfortunately, unless you can find someone on this site, or on another site who is researching the same family.
