Thank you again Tempest I will certainly consider that Viv was a cousin and not a sister to Florence. It may explain how she came to meet my grandfather as Aldershot id not far from Alton; plus I have an old photo of some lady taken at a photographers in Aldershot.

I have acquired info from an Aunt sent to her from my great-aunt Audrey Vivienne Murphy (Viv), my grandmother's half sister.

Jeremiah (Charles) Murphy c1864-1947 married Mary Ann Frost d.1912.
Their children were:- Reuben; Thomas; Jack; William George; Florence, Benjamin and Herbert George (Bert). I have no dates but this almost ties up with the 1901 census posted by Chris Ho.
Jeremiah's father was Timothy Murphy which also ties up with the marriage posted by Tempest.
Jeremiah re-married Edith Annie Gordon (nee Baxter), possibly the E.A Murphy on my grandmother's marriage certificate.
