thats the only one there is pauline, the birth that I have found matches what you have said about the name changes, is it possible that there is a mistake unless of course you have the birth certificate for your uncle?

Hi he was born in York 1895 change it to Joseph on the 1911 census

info on death certs are often wrong eg middle names and date of birth,
it all depends on who the informant was and how well they new the deceased

often when the year of death is wrong you find that the day and month of birth is correct as most people can remember a birthday but get confused about the year
