Hi everyone,
Bingo, I think I may have found William's father.
As Willam and Rose were 1st couins, their fathers would have been brothers. Charles, Rose's father who's father was James, had another son James b 1843and he had a son William b 1870, but still don't know were the Fribbons comes from.

What I meant was if William was the son of one of Charles sisters with no father then he was what they call base born ( illigitermate). You realy need to buy their marriage cert to verify who his father was if he knew. It may not be so but the cert will tell you and his fathers occupation.
