The obituary is probably the best one to read as it has loads about the family where they were born, children, grandchildren etc.

Walter Leonard Peel c/o Peels Ltd of Stanley Street, South Brisbane, was charges in summons, in the Police Court yesterday, that on July 31, having undre his control, a motor car, he failed to use reasonable precaution to avoid danger, whereby bodily harm was actually caused to Violet Drusilla Devencorn. Defendant was remanded until October 22, and was allowed bail in 25 pounds and one surety of 25 pounds.

Thanks everybody for all the info - much much more than I thought could be found! It seems she was actually born in 1870 in Cumberland.

With all the extra info, I found a match somewhere to other family records. It seems that her brother Walter gassed himself in 1932 due to his business failing. Very sad.

Strange that my relative, Francis Banford, doesn't seem to have a job listed on electoral records. I've seem him listed as a timber merchant back in England.
