Is there anyway can search on part of a name not sure how to spell the surname is there a wildcard or something

If you mean searching on GR then I do not think there is a wild card option.

Dam trying to find the marraige records of Jack Arrowsmith not sure of the year he was born in 1920 so would be after that and he married a girl called Molly Firmaston (just not sure if thats spelt right) been trying every combination and gone through loads of marriage records for jack arrowsmiths but nothing

I have tried BMD and nothing

Who were his parents and where would he have been born or living? could he be John? could Molly be a nick name for Mary or Margaret?
