Thank you all so much :)

Alviegal... this frances is not my mine I am afraid as she is too much older :(
Ann of Green Gables ... there are 2 families in Kent at the same time with parents William and Mary and the ones you mension are not my direct descendants although quite possibly related in some way which I haven't connected yet :)
Me Joy 75... yes, that is my family...I am the descendant of Mary Jane... she emmigrated to New Zealand with her second husband (Charles WIGGINS which in itself is a bit of an enigma as she married within 2 years and Charles had not died). I believe that Frances may have assisted her by taking one of her 3 children to NZ but that is as far as I can get, there is no further information in NZ about Frances that I have been able to trace. Mary Jane had disappeared from the face of the earth too untill I just happened across a family in Aus who was researching her family. Yes, I have quite a lot of info about her brothers but i shall look into the site you have sent.
I have checked the box for a Frances but to no avail.
Once again thank you all for your assistance both with the information on the ANNETT family and about accessing these replies. :-)

Can you give as much information about Mary & Frances. You mention that Mary married twice, & had 3 children, when & where.

Is this the 2nd marriage of Mary

Hello Joy... Thank you again
Mary Jane was born to Mary nee ROGERS and William ANNETT about 1835, it would appear the birth was in Nova Scotia, Halifax although as yet no birth notices have been found. She was the oldest of 6 children, the others all born at Seven Oaks, Kent, UK. Mary Jane emmigrated to Victoria along with her parents and siblings on Priam which sailed from Plymouth on 21 May 1852. Mary Jane travelled as a single woman as she was 16yrs but went with her family upon reaching Australia.
She married Charles WIGGINS 09 March 1853 and there are no known issue. Charles WIGGINS died 23 June 1901 in Hamilton, Victoria, AUS.
She married Johannes Groeneveld on 17 Nov 1855 and gave birth to 3 children before emmigrating to New Zealand (to meet her husband who had travelled over earlier, he took the name of John GREENFIELD at his naturalisation but was using the name earlier) in March 1862 on the 'Mary E Ray under the name of Mrs GREENFIELD'. She took her 2 oldest children with her (Johannes and Mary). Another Mrs GREENFIELD (of which there were no other actual relations in Australia) travelled to the same port with what I think is the third child, a 1 year old infant probably Caterina, 2 weeks earlier aboard the 'Blue Jacket'... I suspect that this was the elusive Frances ANNETT.
Mary Jane went on to produce another 4 children (only 3 of her issue survive to produce living issue) and she died in New Zealand on 22 september 1869 aged 34 years. She is buried in the Oamaru cemetery, North Otago, NZ.
Frances was born Dec 1840 at seven Oaks, Kent, ENGLANd and travelled over to Australia as a 12 year old. She was able to read and write. I have been unable to find ANY further information about Frances in either Australia or New Zealand.
I am really struggling to sort out these postings... I will come right with practice, but how do I ammend my heading? :-)

You have amended heading perfectly, maybe now someone else might be able to help. The extra information you have added will help, especially with 2nd marriage details & children names.

WELL... another family historian has informed me that the last family historian just happened to mension there had been a nun in the family... can anyone tell me how to go about finding out about this possibility? It was possibly around 1860 in either Victoria or Sydney. Thanx
