If someone has access to the parish records for Devon(,possibly Devonport) would they mind looking for a birth for this man please? Amos Webber Palmer born c 1822 He married Elizabeth Evans in 1841 and I have details of him on censuses from 1861-1881 (he died in 1884) but I can't find anything about him in 1841 or 51. He was a coastguard at East Stonehouse. Thank you for any info .

Choccy Thank you for the 1851..so it looks like he was a sailor before being a coastguard. Also I only knew of the son William,no idea he had a brother!
