i am looking for info on maggie MULDOONS MOTHER, i think she was born in Dublin but moved to wales, i am trying to find more info on her 'like her maiden name anyone got any info linda :-S maggie hadv a sister Elizabeth who is my g grandmother and a brother Thomas Davies Muldoon, i think i have this right,i know Elizabeth was born in Pontyprid wales can anyone help !!

Margaret LLewellyn b South Wales - no DOB

Thomas Muldoon's parents were Charles Muldoon b abt 1801 Ireland d South Wales, no date and
Margaret no mn, b abt 1799 Dublin d South Wales, no date

Did Maggie and Elizabeth have the same mother ?

If so buy your Gt grandmother's birth cert listed above and it will tell you mother's maiden name

The 1881 Wales Census states that Elizabeth (mother of Elizabeth & Margaret was born in Glamorgan.

You will probably have to order the birth certificate for one of Elizabeth's children to find what her maiden name was before marriage.

Just taken a look at ancestry trees and it states on there that Elizabeth's maiden name was DAVIES, her parents are Thomas Davies (Born South Wales) and Margaret Llewellyn (born South Wales)

.........So Thomas's wife in 1881 is not Maggie's mother then ?

i think this is my ggrandmother i am confused on the surname spelling, is it MALDOON or MULDOON ? :-S I will have to get birth certs i think the name Maldoon 1886 looks right but so does Muldoon :-( :-S

Thomas Muldoon's parents are shown as Charles Muldoon and Ellen Hanon both born in c1799, Thomas in Silgo, Ireland and Ellen in Dublin.

I don't know anything about Irish ancestors and how to trace them, however if you are living on the doorstep, then you may be able to access the records quite easily. You just need to remember that the surname of Muldoon could be spelt in several different ways, as you have already pointed out!
