Hi all \ Ok I rang Aunt Doll, unfortunately she can't remember what Thomas did for a living. the area that I think were looking at is Southall and Bermonsey, but I'll have to confirm some more details
I'll ask my mum later this week, and I hope to have some more paperwork too.
Thanks

I have looked for all marriages of Florence to Thomas Robinson, 1911 to 1925. I then looked for all births of children with those surnames in the wider London area. This is all I can find for Dorothy and Stanley, and is probably showing because Clark is also a common surname so the results are from different marriages Marriages Sep 1911 Barrett Elizabeth L Uxbridge 3a 110 xxx CLARK Florence E Uxbridge 3a 110 Gibbs John C Uxbridge 3a 110 xxx Robinson Thomas C Uxbridge 3a 110
Births Dec 1924 ROBINSON Dorothy M CLARK Wandsworth 1d 764
Births Sep 1921 Robinson Stanley Clark Shoreditch 1c 37
And Dorothy is the wrong age.

My aunty Doll (Aunty Doll is the daughter of Richard Henry Robinson) was in Rotherhithe, Bermonsey, She said she stayed in Southall with Florence and Thomas( Richards brother) in 1940.
Thomas and Florence had two kids called Dorothy and Stanley they were a few years older than my aunt doll (31/5/1925)
I don't know when Richard Henry Robinson died, but he did have nine children:-
Beatrice BD ???
Then he had five children die between 1919~1925 Two of those that died names were Mary and Caroline.
Aunt Doll BD 1925 Gladys BD 1929 Stanley BD ???

Hi John, that's useful but there are huge numbers of births.
To narrow it down can you at least confirm what part of the country - were they all from the London area?

Hi
I've been in contact with my mums sister Dorothy (I call her Aunty Doll and she was born in 1925) and here's what she has:-
Richard Robinsons brother was called Tomas & his wife called Florence and she stayed for a short while with them during the war in Southall London, as it was supposed to be safer - she was bombed a few times and decided it was safer at home!!
Thomas\Florences daughter Dorothy was a few years older than Aunt Doll so Tom & Florences Dorothy was born ~1921 ish.
Does this help?

John, what area would brother & Florence's children be born? - the records will show Florence's maiden name. We can then try to trace a marriage to get brother's first name.

Sorry dont know his brothers name, but My mum thinks he married a lady called "Florence" and they had two kids called Stanly and Dorothy Robinson.
Dates unknown.
What I do know :-
R. H. Robinson had children Beatrice sept 1912, Caroline 1913, Mary 1917, Gladys 1929, and also like his brother a Dorothy 1925, & Stanley 1927.
No kids during the WWI, we think he was in the cavalry!, or at least horse related.
Stanley and Dorothy are named in both lines, so they may be grand parents names?.
I've been told previously that the "burnt records" may help, but at that time "R" had not been microfilmed.
I hope to get some paperwork on a previous attempt at finding him in the next day or so, as soon as I get it I'll post any info.
Thanks again

Thank you so much, its midnight here in Oz and I'm now wide awake, and spotting caroline brady was such a find too!!
Richard Henry Robinson is a bit of a mystery, Do you think he may have got his fathers name wrong on the marriage certificate, is that likely?
From my mums recollection he was in the first world war, looked after horses (groom), with a dark Kahki uniform, and his brother had two kids call Dorothy and Stanley Robinson.
I want to wake the wife up and show her whats been found, But I don't think I'm that brave :-) Thank you
