Hi, i have managed to find the birth certificates of 2 of my brothers children but am having trouble finding his birth certificate (Declan Sheehan i think he was born in 1968) many thanks :-D

Karen where was your brother born? There are no Declan Sheehans born 1968. There are a couple with Declan as a second name but none in 1968.

as Maureen says there is only one born 1968 Lincoln with a MMN of Maloney

Hi thank you for looking, i'm not sure where he was born my parents married in1967 in Lincoln, i thought she was pregnant with a sibling that died and i was born in Lincoln in 1969 my dad worked for the coal board so think they moved around :-D

thank you so much i will send off for the certificates as it's the right time period i don't have mich info as i was in care as a child and they seem to have lost my records! Its very odd that i can't find my brother Declan's birth certificate will have to do a little more digging. :-D

These are just a guess but as you have your moms full DOB it might be worth ringing the Irish GRO and asking if they can help you

The first birth looks more promising? As I said, you have her full DOB and so with these ref, the GRO might be able to check the DOB for you before sending for the certificate?

Thanks for all your help, i am new to this and its great to find out so much with everyones help, i will phone and check my mothers birth certificate.
I don't know about siblings as they were both in orpanages in Ireland, i haven't been able to find out anything and was hoping if i could find their birth certificates i might be able to find the orphanages x
