Hi everyone, who helped on this tree,
I have birth certificate for Constance Emily Horton. Mother is Lydia Georgina Frances Horton, formerly Smith. The shipping record for the Mrs Horton was probably Harry's brothers wife, (Charles Horton), he must have came to NZ first.
Thanks everyone

One of Harrys children I think if was Harry Joseph named his mother as Mary, which is charles's wife, so maybe Mary and Charles brought the children up ???

Julie Anne Report 8 Jan 2012 20:57

Hi, I wonder if the Mrs Horton on the shipping records is Charles Horton's wife ? Mary. Charles also came to NZ, also his son Francis Henry, or Frank Henry. Maybe Charles, Harry and Francis came out first ??

Only a birth certificate will confirm (as always!), but think it's likely as Lydia died in Aston

So trying to apply a touch of logic to this.

We know her name has Georgina in it, and that she is from Ruardean, (which is incidentally in Glocestershire) and that she was born roughly 1865.

Sooooo, upon doing a search of all Georgina's born in 1863-1867 registered in the Ross district (the area covering Ruardean)... i get this...

Births Sep 1867 Gammon Georgina Ross 6a 455

The only other birth with Georgina in the name is this one...

Births Jun 1867 Bailey Annie Georgina M Ross 6a 476

~~~~~
...but then i get this one too...
Births Sep 1864 SMITH Lydia Goergina Frances Ross 6a 422
Which takes me back to the start!!?
