Hi I was wondering if anybody can help me to find out any information for my friend. For many years she has been wondering about her Grandmothers brother who died in France during ww1. Would it be possible to get any info. on his old army records & any other info . He was called James Williams he came from Lancaster Street,Netherfield Road, Liverpool 5. She thinks his mother was called Josephine. Any info. would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. :-) |

Thank you, it's looking as though he is the 2nd one, as he was 17 when he died. |

there are 848 J Williams' so it's a bit futile really - some of them do give full names but motly they are just J Williams - it's heartbreaking looking at them all - I had an uncle died in WW1 - David John Williams - he was about 19 years old |

Ann, surely it's an exercise in futility listing all of the J. Williams from Liverpool who were killed in WW1. There's probably hundreds, maybe a thousand. |

I thought it was the 2nd one because of 1918, thought there was only 2 listed. |

Could you perhaps ask your friend how she knows her grandmother had a brother called James? |
