Harold was also born in Halifax so it looks like the Marian that I gave is not the person you were looking for

Well I'm clearly going to have to ask these questions from Gladys DIL, anything is possible hopefully that will help us find where Marion fits into the picture.

I'm getting confused now. Harolds wife was originally Mary, but searches showed that she was in fact Polly.
The two baptisms show both christian names for the mother of Polly and Mary for the children we assume to be sisters.

Can I assume that Mary=Polly and she used both names ?

After contacting Gladys's DIL I now have the correct spelling for Marian (not (Marion) and her birth year 1920.

This came up with..

Births Mar 1920 (>99%)

Buckley Marian Jones Halifax 9a 779

Found her !
