So maybe you should buy that death certificate and see whose husband he is .

Although Brit death certs for males don't usually mention wife/widow, but will give his occupation.

His widow may well have registered the death. His age and address should also be recorded

That's what I'm hoping ...... that it says informant ********* wife of deceased.
