Thank you all for your help will check all the info given and when we get married cert it might all make sense I hope

Hi have now received marriage cert for Alfred Matthew William Hedges May and Minnie Rose Lough, on this cert it says that his father's name was Matthew William May, he was deceased when my grandparents marriage took place in 1911 Alfred was in a West Riding battalian so was he born in Yorkshire, still can't find any details, where did the Hedges come from was it his Mother's maiden name who knows I certainly don't
any help would be appreciated

On the other thread Alfred's father's occupation is possibly Insurance Clerk but apparently the writing is difficult to read.
