I know Walter died, I just ment about his war records.
Margeret is very elderly and in a nursing home, I will find out from her son, my boss, the person I am doing this research for.
Think it might be worth getting Walters death certificate, because they dont even no where he is buried or what he died off.

Unfortunately many WW1 service records didn't survive the Blitz in WW2. The building where they were stored was bombed and many records were burnt completely. Those that did survive often have burnt parts to them They are known as the burnt records.

Your Walters Army record didn't survive .
