So she marries Thomas in 1884 and he dies before 1891?

Ecclesiastical District: St Marys City/Municipal Borough:
Address: 30, Egalton Road, Bromley, Tower Hamlets County: London

HARRINGTON, John Son Single M 4 1887 Scholar Poplar Bromley

So the Paston is actually Purton?

Tracey, if you'd had given all these little bits at the beginning it might ahve made the search easier!

Every possible piece of info you have helps!

Tracey,

OK, so you might want to get the 1884 marriage cert.

It's possible that is him in 1881...

1881 RG number: RG11 Piece: 509 Folio: 47 Page: 42

Ecclesiastical District: City/Municipal Borough:
Address: 18, Ashton St, Poplar County: London, Middlesex

HARRINGTON, Mary Wife Married F 32 1849 St Georges Middlesex
HARRINGTON, John Son Single M 0 1881 Poplar Middlesex

....and he's remarried in 1884?

Could something have happened to this Mary and/or John?

Well, if John was his natural son and he was born in 1887, that would suggest Thomas was alive in 1887.

We have a possible Mary A a Widow in 1891, so there's a very small window to fit into.

I'm wondering if the 1881 Thomas is yours? There is a death for a John Joseph Harrington aged 2 in 1882 Poplar, that fit's the John on the 1881.

Could Mary have died too?

There are very few Stevedore's and i would imagine as it's a dock worker trade, it's a fairly skilled one?

The only Thomas Harrington, Stevedore on the 1891 census is a young lad. I cannot find anyone else that matches?

It's just a shame the 1884 marriage isn't online.... altho it probably is and i cannot find it....yet!

Someone will post it if it's about!!!
