I've found quite a few trees with mistakes regarding this generation, I tend to ignore other peoples trees and just search for official records.

There was a sister, Sophia Jane Siggs 1850, she also disappears though I have a possible marriage in Kensington 1875. This person is named as Jane Sophia Siggs....

I had seen a record of it but not the info with it. The witnesses were her sister and probably her brother Joseph ! Great, thank you :-)

Him again !
Charles Matthew Siggs 1808 - 1855 born and bap' Aveley, Essex.

Son of James (Whiffing) Siggs and Mary Ann Siggs (nee Whiffing)

Lived with Margaret Ohren in Chelsea and had children, births spanning 1839 to 1854, no record of marriage.

There is on record a marriage dated 3rd November 1829 of a Charles Matthew Siggs to an Elizabeth Ann Reed at St. Martin in the Fields, Middlesex.

I've been at this a long time, how can I prove (or disprove) that it is the same person? Any ideas, please !!

Siggs-Reed had 4 children, last was born 1836. She moved up north to bradford. On the 1851 census she lists herself as 'widow'. Can't find her on 1841 census.
