thanks all.....richards parents were samuel and elizabeth abbott living in darlington/durham......i have all census details for samuel & elizabeth including 1901/1911...Richard was not with his parents on both censes...

its just dorned on me that this richard that catherine has found ,marrying flora probably isnt my richard....as i realised the one with father thomas as found has the same occupation as the one that married flora.....oh poop! :(

The Richard Abbott in 1911 census married to Flora would seem to have parents Thomas and Elizabeth. If your Richard has different parents then this is probably not him?

If your Richard was born in 1883 Darlington then why did you say he was born in 1882 in Middlesbrough?

hi catherine .....i have found the births for all three of samuel & elizabeths sons....and the one i have for richard ties with the only one i have info for him on the 1891 census

I haven't managed to find any births. Perhaps you can tell us how you have managed to come back to this family. Who is the third son?
