Hi there, I am looking for a Marriage Certificate, or more to the point that there was a marriage of a Frederick Ernest FORD b 1881 Fingal Tasmania d 1950 Dandenong Victoria to a Mary Anne Graham b 1892? Victoria d 1970 Dandenong Victoria
On some info they were married Mar 9th 1909

Looking at several trees, not a single one has a marriage date for him to a Mary Ann Graham. I dont think any of them have bought a certificate to prove the information!

Some have different birth/death dates, so you really do need the death certificate :-)

Thank you Cupcakes, i know the graves have them both there, I have visited them with my Mother In Law, Fred and Mary Anne are her parents, I am very interested in the marriage of Mary Anne and Patrick long??? funny enough Mary Anne had a sister Sarah who married a Thomas Bence.
Just had a visit from a cousin in law, she said her Uncle was nicked named Paddy!!! why would a Frederick have a nick name of Paddy???
I just have to get the marriage certificate of Fred and Mary Anne they were supposed to have been married 9th Mar 1909 in Melbourne Victoria
Seems research is telling me they both had marriages before their union, and not divorced them, my mother in law is only one of three kids left and she is the youngest.

information I have found is that Frederick and Mary were married in Tasmania....but I do not have anyway of checking that, the Cd I have only goes to 1905, if you can get someone to check for you.

Yes that is correct, she had 17 living, but we found in a bible two more kids names, they must have died before birth????
On my mother in laws birth cert they state they were married in Melbourne on 0th Mar 1909, the way am thinking Mary Anne had James to Unknown, then had the next two to Patrick Long, went to Tasmania and met Frederick and had the rest of the children with him claiming them all as Freds????? family was told theyhad the first three in Tasmania?? brings to mind "Oh what a tangled web we weave" have not mentioned any of this to Mother In Law, she was upset at me even thinking something was wrong with the marriage claim, just have to look for marriage cert!!! Yes the gene for red hair is recessive so it can appear in later generations out of the blue (no pun intended) if the partner also has the recessive gene.

Mind you Fred & Ruth also had a son named Fred in DANDENONG in 1914!!! And daughter Ethel May in 1919 in Collingwood...Ruth died in Collingwood in 1925 aged 41.
