The Advertiser (Adelaide, SA : 1889 - 1931) Saturday 14 October 1905, page 12
KOOLUNGA. October 12.-Yesterday Mr. and Mrs. William Walladge, very old and highly respected residents of this district, celebrated their golden wedding at a dinner in the institute, at which about 50 of their relatives were present. Mr. and Mrs. Walladge were the recipients of many good wishes and hearty congratulations. They received a number of very handsome presents, those from their family consisting of a verandah seat and an easy chair. Mrs. Walladge arrived in South Australia in 1840, and Mr. Walladge arrived in 1851. They have resided in this district for over twenty-eight years. The surviving sons and daughters are Messrs. Daniel, Samuel, and William Walladge, Mrs. H. Clark and Mrs. E. J. Butler, of Port Pirie; Mr. Charles Wal- ladge, of Cradock; Mrs. F. T. Pedler, of Blyth; Messrs. John, Henry, George, and Ernest Walladge. and Mrs. James See, of Koolunga.-The Presbyterian Sunday-school picnic was held on Wednesday in Mr. T. Freeman's paddocks. The day being pleasant a large number of children, with their teachers, parents, and friends, attended. Unfortunately before the close of the day a few sharp showers of rain fell, and made the pleasure-seekers hasten homewards.

I have a George Worledge born abt 1810 Ipswich St Clement. He was a mariner & married Eliza Bacon 1831 Ipswich. I suspect he may be a brother of John Worledge that you are looking for. I have never found any info about George & suspect that the whole family may have been mariners which would account for them not being on the censuses. George´s wife Eliza stayed in the Ipswich area until her death & is on the 1841 census with her children, living with her father & brother, who are also mariners. Charles Worledge may be another brother of your John. He & his wife Rebecca had numerous children, also in Ipswich. Not much help I know, but may give you a lead. Marion
