Charles b. 1872 obviously does not appear on the 1871 census and in 1881 is lviing with his grandparents Thomas & Ann Wake

Really sorry to be a pain but a big question came to me in the night. I got that my dad is Charles Durant Welch 19879Stockport). I know his mum died in childbirth so he was adopted by his uncle Charles Durant (Burton 1871) & his wife Lillian Winiferd (Ashton, Cardiff 1896).They moved here to Llanelly with my dad & their children who I knew well. My dad is on the census first as their NEPHEW AND LATER AS THEIR ADOPTED SON. I had originally thought that my dad was Lillian's sister's child but after doing my tree i found out that she was originally Ashton so I then thought that he was Charles (1887) sister's child who died in childbirth and would originally have been a durant hench my dad, me ect being a Durant. Again I thought that she might have married a Welch before having my dad hench his name Charles Durant Welch. It seemed at first likely to me that as my dad was born in stockport that his dad was Alfred Welch (1958) who married Margaret Ann Durant in 1896 in Stockport and who died in 1897 (childbirth??) it all fitted nicely untill my question, who is Margaret Ann & how is she related to the Durants from Burton? I can not find a sister nammed Margaret Ann for Charles Durant (Burton 1871) so how are they related & how did my dad end up with his stepdad? :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

I dont know if I have the right man or not but I think so. My dad was born in 1897 and his mum died in childbirth and he was adopted by her brother. her brother was Charles Durant from Burton who moved to work in the brewery here in Llanelli. My dad was given both names, Charles Durant Welch. i think i have got it right as the only Durant Welch marriage i can find is Margaret Ann who died in 1897 so that would match the child birth thing and Alferd Welch which is where the Welch part of his name came from. After my brother was born Lesley Durant Welch the Welch got dropped and my other brother Charlie & I were just Durant. My dad never saw his dad.
