Eddie are you looking for the wife of Richard Henry Smith or the wife of John Thomas Wilson ?

That's why I thought that Mr Smith was the father of the mother of the 4 daughters and not the father of the 4 daughters! (If you see what I mean ;-) :-D) - Taken from the 1938 marriage cert ???.

SO, the 4 daughter's who we are looking for would be Wilson's with mmn Smith !!

Is it just me being confused ?? :-S

Do we presume that Eddie has the 1938 marriage cert to know the name of her father

It's not making sense to me - we need Eddie to come back to clarify things for us !!

Just a thought though - Durham is quite near to Scotland (I think) - maybe they moved up there and some children were born there??
