But there's no birth of Elizabeth Smith with mmn Young between 1915-1920.

No that is why I am struggling as not finding any 4 children with the same mothers maiden name

That's why I thought that Mr Smith was the father of the mother of the 4 daughters and not the father of the 4 daughters! (If you see what I mean ;-) :-D) - Taken from the 1938 marriage cert ???.

SO, the 4 daughter's who we are looking for would be Wilson's with mmn Smith !!

Is it just me being confused ?? :-S

Hi all just got my computer back seemed to crash just as I was reading articles To clarify Im researching for a friend who knows almost nothing of his fathers ,Father/mother all I have is the fathers name robert henry smith and his 4 childrens names and nothing of the wife/mother of said children/robert hanry smith thet have given me elizabeth jane smith her birthday 20/1/1918 and thats it

SO was Elizabeth J the daughter of Robert Henry or the wife??

When and where were all t6hese 4 daughter's born please???

Did John Wilson marry the mother of these children or one of them ???

Am I right in thinking that on her marriage cert she names Richard Henry as her father and you are looking for Richard's wife's name (Elizabeth's mother)?

Could Evlyn be Mary E and Ada be Mary A ??? (Long shot I know but posting just in case)

SORRY not here but comp keeps crashing need to buy a new one, the names you have come up with looks to me to be right, its the best so far the smith turnball fits nicely as do the daughters YOU ARE THE BEST, thank you all so much regards eddie
