Charles Middleton born 1888 in Orkney married Eileen Frances Hoare who was Australian.
1. They had Alfred born 1908c who married a Vera Middleton and they had Margaret Helen and Linda.
2. Shirley born 1913c who married a David McDonald and had Stuart and Pamela
3. Son Charles born 1921 Brokenhill New South wales Australia was killed in Germany in 1944

I assume they were all born and married in Australia as no records found on Scotlands People.
I'm hoping someone can pass on some information to me re the family.
Any help much appreciated.

I now assume by the marriage date that I have definate wrong birth dates for Alfred and Shirley.

PricklyHolly I'm not sure about the census records as Williamina Gordon was maiden name of Charles' mother and she married Alexander Middleton. Her parents were Alexander Gordon and Jane Bruce. so don't think this is any of my ancestors. Thanks anyway for trying to help me.

Funnily enough........after i posted that census, i realised the surname was Gordon and not Middleton.

I then noticed that there is a tree on Ancestry with Williamina Bruce Gordon and Alexander Middleton and that census is included on the tree.

PricklyHolly- thank you. I'm not on ancestry so probably won't find that tree.

The only public tree on Ancestry with Charles Gordon Middleton only names 1 child, the one who died in WW2.

Now after that help is there any way I can find birth/death/marriages for the family mentioned above .

Alfred Middleton and Shirley Middleton and any birth or death record for Eileen Frances Hoare wife of Alexander Middleton.

I dont know why, at the moment that I cant paste onto here!

According to the tree on Ancestry.....Charles and Eileen Frances Hoare had 6 children.
Apart from the son Charles Gordon.........all the other childrens details are private.

Son Charles details are that he was born 20.July Broken Hill NSW Australia
Death 19th Oct 1944 Buried Struttgart Germany RAF 2nd WW.

No death details for the parents.

(Parents Eileen and Charles........Not Alexander)

Now confused as to if date is 14 mar 1917 or 1918 as I got 1917 posted earlier.

Can you tell me how to get access to Australian details for the births of Eileen Hoare, then her children Alfred and Shirley. Also marrige /or death records for any of them.

The death record for Charles Middleton in Camperdown Victoria seems a long way from where they were married in Brokenhill.
