Grannymac - you don't need to be a member of Ancestry to search and view trees, or contact the tree owners. They have a sister site, Mundia, where all public trees are available.

You have to register but it's free.

Eileen Hoare is mentioned in this article:

Barrier Miner (Broken Hill) - Thursday 2 November 1911

PUBLIC SCHOOL CONCERT AT WHITE CLIFFS.

"The Miner's" correspondent at White Cliffs writes :

A very successful concert was given by the children attending the public school on Thursday evening, October 20, in the Centennial Hall when the operetta "Red Riding Hood's Rescue" was creditably performed by thr juveniles, many of whom were mere infants. This fact, however, did not seen to come in their way when going through the parts allotted them. Some sweet voices were heard during the progress of the play. Miss Nellie Barratt,- as "Red Riding Hood," and Miss Lily Lucas, as "Mother," both played and sang their parts well, as did also Miss Olive Bradbury, as "Rose," and Miss Nellie Barratt, as "Buttercup." Miss Eileen Hoare made a graceful and rather imposing "Queen of Fairies.", She had with her as fairy helps Misses Lizzie Brown, Mary Paul, Alice Bedell, Olive Mercer, May Heath, and Mavis Maiden. Master A. Lucas was "Robin," and Master A. Swift "Wolf." Both did well. During the intermission of the play some pleasing items were brought on. The floral march, by senior girls, was reproduced, and was much appreciated. Action songs were given by the infants, and a nigger sketch, "Seven Little Nigger Boys," by the boys. The entertainment was concluded with an amusing piece, "The Tin Can Band," in which Mr Hanly, the teacher, provided full measure of fun by his comicalities. The members of the band were:-Nellie Baratt, Lily Lucas, Norah Burke, Annie Hagcmann, Mavis Maiden, Alfred Lucís, Alfred Swift, Willie Molden, and Roy Lucas, all of whom contributed, singly, songs and local hits. The orchestra consisted of Mr. P. Fiebig (piano), Masters H. Townsend (first violin). L. Townsend (second violin). Miss Nellie Townsend (third violin). Mr. A, Griesson (flute). Before the fall of the curtain, Mr. IT tilly, the teacher, briefly thanked Miss' Meisiei-, Fiebig, and others who had assisted in making the concert the success it undoubtedly was. The proceeds, which reached close to £20, were in aid of the school fund.

A bazaar in aid of the church and convent fund, was opened on Saturday evening in the Centennial Hall, and did good business. The large hall was crowded all the evening.

Death for Chas Gordon MIDDLETON in 1981 in NSW, shows as son of Alexander & Wilhelmina (reg 6025). He must have lived to a ripe old age! If you know for certain this is the right person, his death certificate would be well worth getting as it should list any and all marriages and children. I am not clear on which info you are using as a starting point (ie the parents of Chas or one of his children).

Marriage for Shirley:

Here's Alfred's WWII enlistment in the Naval Reserve, he was 10 yrs younger than stated (which makes more sense anyway, given the marriage date of his parents!. I suspect Shirley's birthdate is also out, since she did not marry til 1950.)
