Wolfdogowner -
Ancestry is playing up this morning, so I can't look at the tree you asked about.
But if (when it's OK again) you search Public Member Trees for John Carr, born 1811 Scotland, with wife Susannah, the tree will appear at the head of the resulting list. You may then be able to contact the tree owner - click on their name at the top of the tree page, if it's shown. If the name's not shown, then, sorry, I don't know how you would contact them.

Of course, the tree owner may have wrong info, so don't believe it implicitly!

thank you Eringobragh1916, there is so much to my family story that I could write a book, all these secrets etc are unfolding and it is rather exciting...My dad was adopted you see and he only found out last year at age 68! So I have been researching ever since, he was adopted within the family kind of so that made it easier but the Carr's were his adopted family. He thought he was an only child but we now know he is one of 13 and he has met his brothers and sisters now as have I :-D

Petra...Put pen to paper for future generations...!!

If you go to freecen.rootsweb and scroll down for Neilston in the towns column they have 1841 /1851 Census ...you will find lots of Kerr's b Ireland down for Neilston Village...you may find some "familiar" names....usually when you find one you find others especially the further back you go....

I will write that book I think Erinbrough1916......I have printed out the Scottish census for 1841 of GR but it shows the whole town of Neilston Village on there and states that John Kerr/ Carr was born in Ireland... I think though he was Scottish as his wife Susan/Susannah shows on census as being born in Scotland but on all others is says Ireland. So I think I will have a look on freecen.rootsweb as wel as you have suggested.
