Hi, My Grandmother's Mother was Lucy Dyton on her birth certificate but there was confusion with the name, and her Father's last name may be Dithon. His name was James and he was born in 1843. I don't know where he was born. His father was John Dithon and his mother's name was Mary born 1811. Lucy's mother was Ellen born 1844, and her Mother was Agnes Ellen, born 1811, if what I have found is correct. I would love to have their maiden surnames.
The family story is that Lucy was from a Romani/Gypsy family. I have not found any other information about her or her ancestors. I would like to know if anyone else has any info about this family. Thank you!! <3

WOW! I appreciate all the help so much!! You have found so much for me to get on with!! I can't believe I forgot to add where Lucy was born and her date of birth! I was trying to include all I thought would be helpful!! Lucy Dyton 1877 to 1922. Ipswich, Suffolk. I am hoping to find a maiden name for Lucy's mother. I have found the names Ellen and Emma for Lucy's mother and I am not sure if they are the same person or two different people. Their birth years are Ellen Agnes Vinyard 1844 and Emma 1843 ....Ellen Agnes mother appears to be Agnes Ellen Fulcher but I am not at all sure this is correct. At some point I am hoping this will make sense to me. I have found I have to keep better records of my searching so I can go back through it. You have given me new spellings for the name Dyton/Dithon that I wasn't aware of! Thank you so much for the help!
