Find Ancestors

I can't think why I didn't look at my personal Email Box!She sent the message as often happens on here under married name.However though I am not finding any contacts under her literal born name,I have just contacted her sister after searching for her mother's name.

However this doesn't answer my question about what has happened to her message to me and my reply?When sending a reply to a message on here,whilst it is possible to press the Draft option by mistake,the completely delete conversation option is not readily available?

I have to say really that all this has completely wasted all my time this morning as her message also contained important follow up info about her Great-Grandmother's second marriage and children from that marriage.

Thanks Dea,you would swear by all this that i'm a new member on here!I've been a member on here since 2003 and have sent quite literally thousands of private messages on here!I'll follow your suggestion and look in Draft Messages thanks.

Another thought for me to consider is that hopefully this doesn't suggest the onset of "Senior Moments"!

Have you looked to see if you have sent this into draft messafes on here? - It seems more likely that you have done that rather than deleted it ?

If it has been deleted - If you look in your in box on your direct e-mail system you should see a notification to tell you that you have a personal message on Genes re-united - If you hover over it or open it, it should at least give you the name of the person who sent you the message on here.

You might then be able to find him/her on these boards or on 'trees' ?

It appears I made a huge blunder when answering a message last night.Someone saw this topic who is a descendant of the Rowley Price marriage.However when I replied it appears that instead of send it appears that I may have pressed delete instead!Could the person who sent the message resend it please?

Many thanks for the new replies,I'm giving myself a severe reprimand not just for failing to check here on any new replies but also missing the birth of Gladys Hancock Price.After all Sampson and Rachel married in 1904!The Brammer surname is one I've come across vaguely whilst looking into the Rowley and the closely associated "Clewes" family.

Price and Rowley are common surnames in the area....................

The 'missing' child was Gladys

Not sure who Stanley is/was.............

I understood that William thought that Victor was his relative, along with Stanley, and now knowing Victor was someone else's son was trying to find out who the missing living child was.

Interesting that victors MMN was also Rowley

I have a feeling that Sampson simply didn't record the details of his child (Gladys) when filling in the census.......he thought that saying there was one was sufficient.

The column for 'status' makes specific mention of 'over-15's'.........which he may easily have misinterpreted.

I think the point of the post was to ascertain Victor's parentage, which, in my opinion, has been achieved.

We could do with a bit more info from William x

Her marriage is on freebmd.......her father's name will be on the cert

It would seem more probable that the child referred to in 1911 is Gladys. A 5-year old child is more likely that a 4-month old baby to be away from its parents

Purchasing the birth cert would resolve all queries

Re my post at 14.57 for the 1911 census for Peter and Harriet Price with son Victor. I found this marriage where Peter Price married Harriet Rowley. I think they are the parents of the Staffordhire birth record for a Victor MMN Rowley
