They definitely weren't at 6/10 Hoyle St 1911 - family called Gabbitas.

on george and ellens wedding cert no father for ellen and living at 29 mathew street sheffield married 1907

Just been going through nearly all Hoyle Street and at 10court 2 House Hoyle street it was written Mr Redfearn then crossed out and Mr Walker written.
Bernard walker age 46 a file cutter.

1901 George and parents at 43 Mathew Street.

hi ellens mother was martha redfern but was not married when ellen was born martha later married bernard walker.

Ellen the mother of Alfred 1909 was adopted?
I thought she married George Redfern,but above you say Charles!


Also on 1911 summary there is at Court 9-1 house Rockingham Street Sheffield a Mrs Redfern in the house are 3 males and 1 female.
I can't find the actual transcription though.Very annoying.

hi mary,just spoke to mum she seems to think that it could be them on 1911 census at rockingham street she seems to think that most of ellens family lived that way near to west street sheffield

Mrs Redfern is a widow, lots of crossings out. Age 40 (or 38)
Married 19 years, 3 children, 2 living
Edwin Redfern is 14.
A daughter has been crossed out.
Other 2 people are lodgers.

hi just been over to mums and got alfreds birth certificate on it it says alfred redfern born 15-5-1909 and address 5 court matthew street sheffield. father george redfren nut and bolt heater and mother ellen redfern formerly redfern living 5 court matthew street sheffield,do you think they might still be there in 1911 thanks

still confused lol,if they were boarders r lodgers they would still be on the census so were are they very strange.
