Snippets from this link, in case they provide clues.
books.google.co.uk/books?isbn=0813122511:

The Drewerys liked to claim they were collateral descendants of Captain Cook, as there were Cooks in the family tree.

The 1911 census posted above is the correct one - Gladys's parents were Robert & Lavinia Drewery of Withernsea. There was a rumour in the family that Lavinia was an illegitimate child of the Prince of Wales (Edward VII).

(Claiming to be related to famous people does seem to be a habit with this family!)

Gladys was one of 10 children.

Kay's family home was on Elgin Ave in Maida Vale, and her parents took in boarders.

Two of Kay's cousins were James Drewery and Joy Drewery.
She had an Aunt Moya (no surname given).

Well I still can not prove that Annie and Gladys were related

[Thanks, George, but Bodicote is the place where my Butlers were born, in Oxfordshire.]

Back to Annie Alice Drewery -

I don't understand where she comes in.
Did your old lady's grandparents (Annie Maria & Robert William in the 1911 already posted) give her that name as the link? Was she some relation of theirs? If not, where did they get the name from?

Annie Alice's parents seem to be Harry and Jane, and having followed all links I can think of to/from male relatives of Harry and Annie Alice, I don't see any link to Robert William - same as GlitterBaby.
Apart from the fact that they all lived in Hull.
