could be possibly beatrice rose smith,marriiage in bristol 1947,can anyone look this up for me if poss,thanks

still looking,hi all that helped me,ive now got death cert for george,its was registered by his widow,beatrice rose lane residing at 21 queens drive,swindon,ive tried looking on here for her,but no joy,he died in 1987,

You have to buy the death cert for its information

get it from
www.gro.gov.uk costs £9.25 using the GRO ref posted

You have to register on the site ,free then follow the order form

Remember to tick the box that asks if the GRO ref is known then all you need is his name as its listed and fill in the GRO refs in the appropriate boxes

The same applies for the marriage cert . You dont have to quote both names to get that ,one of their names with the GRO ref will get it for you

yes shirley,there is another eunice,seems it could be correct,so i need to order the marriage cert and then maybe i will find more info,is that correct

George's death was posted on here...............buy the cert from the GRO.............£9.25....................and you'll find out who registered the death

am not sure,as by the sounds of it he was brought up by his sisters,he has since died so we only had bits of information,he also looked for his parents,shame that george snr died the year our daughter was born,my hubby never knew any grandparents,its like they both went off the face of the earth

You need that marriage cert to George for her age etc and to croscheck both dads names

no,initially someone found some info on a george and alice,lane and nee peck,but the couple this person found for me wasnt the right one as that alice had remarried before the year george jnr was born,thats when we realised it wasnt the correct family......we dont know what happened to alice at all,we cant find her

we dont know if alice married again,or whether george did,as there could be other children out there,we didnt know he died in wiltshire either,just told my hubby,this info is great thanks...am looking on freebmd,thanks

I have posted his death and the informant could be family .

There are umpteen marriages for George R lane after 1941 so not possible to say if anyone is him.

The informant on his death cert could be one of his new family , if he had one !

Who...and when.........did Alice marry the second time?

George jnr was registered as Lane with MMN Peck..................so his mother can't have been re-married by then

And the youngest girl was Rosaline
