I'm stuggling to read this, but the son William Kingaby appears to have enlisted in 1885, naming his father and sister Louise as nok. Louise of 12 Burgess rd??, she is then crossed out and replaced by his wife Catherine (nee Kelleher) who he married 21/4/1889. (Image 7114) |

I think William Kingaby (King(s)ley) is her birth father and that's why she was recorded by her grandparents as Kingley on the 1881. |

Further evidence to suggest Jane/Louie was Lydia/David's grandchild, not daughter. Lydia made it through to the 1911 census, on the image she has written 7 children born, 2 have died. Looking at the 1851/61 census she has the following: |

For what it's worth, I think Jane/Louie Dorrington was Mary Ann's illegitimate daughter, and lived with grandparents. The 1891 census has William & Mary Ann Kingaby still together, but I think this is her death: |

I think the name on the 1881 IS Jane, the J is the same as elsewhere on the page (see the John and James) but the descender on the "y" in Lydia is in front of it. |
