Reggie, that is a terrific call. I've had a look at the original passenger list and Mrs Richardson and children Ronald, James and May (who would be Mary) travelled together, contacted to land at Sydney. The Hy Richardson was on his own and I don't think connected. All are listed as English, but otherwise it ties in perfectly to the ages order of the children. i will do some foraging on the Australian side now. |

Was Helen widowed in 1911? As you have their marriage, you will have the names of James's parents so can check on here to see if anyone has them in their tree. |

Interested in anyone connected to James Richardson (mother's M.S. Ritchie) and Helen (or Ellen) McMillan. Helen was born in Kilmarnock in 1872 and married James, from Galston, Ayrshire in the Gordon Halls, Paisley Road, Glasgow in July 1901. James was a coal miner, Helen a confectioner's shop keeper. When first married they lived at 124 Cornwall St, Govan, Glasgow. In 1911 Helen was living at Mill Road, Dalziel, Lanarkshire, with her three children Ronald Campbell Richardson, born 1902, James Richardson, born 1904, and Mary McMillan Richardson, born 1906. Helen was my grandfather's sister. |
