arther smith palmer was a mariner and what i found was he was on hms tenedos and in 1919 drowned ,,,, but when i looked deeper the middle name came up as stanley ?

Will do a name correction on Ancestry for 1911 census as they are shown as VALMER but Arthur George signed the form

Is there any way i can find out what ship he did serve on , as i have never traced a mariner before ,

I believe the national archives have some records of merchant seamen
