Find Ancestors

His father was Michael and John married Ann Caile in 1871 at Hamsterley near Bishop Auckland County Durham. My last record of him was the registration of my grandfather Robert in January 1881. I have certificates for the marriage and birth registrations.
I have found details of Ann Gent in 1891 census but no record of John. I have also tried to trace his brothers William born about 1857 and Richard born 1867 after the 1871 census.

I'm assuming that you have ALL info for JOHN up to and including the 1881 birth of his 'son'...........and that you wish to know what happened to him thereafter.

Why can't the record of the birth be found on freebmd?

As his wife was 'living on her own means' in 1891, he wasn't supporting her

The child JOHN in 1891 is obviously ROBERT - with name given/recorded incorrectly
