Hi
This is as far as I have with my Broadbents.

The George Broadbent above married Massey Baker- Child Jemima Broadbent married Alfred Bolton Child Nellie Bolton Married Edward Land Child Tony Land m Jackie Farrar Child Dawn ( me )
If you can see the twin Broadbents which my great great grandfathers twin brothers all from Bradford, mainly East End.
Im trying to see if my Broadbents are connected to my husbands Broadbents.
Hope this makes sense. Thanks so much

Dawn, to find out who George b1918 married - use FreeBMD http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl.
If there is more than one option then try to find the births of children that you know they had - that will give you the mother's maiden name to enable you to find the correct marriage. It's just a case of working methodically backwards from the people you know.
Same for finding the connection (if any) between your two lots of Broadbents but if you have any further info on your own great grandfather then give us the details and we'll see what we can find.

Hi guys I have checked my notes. My George Broadbents are as follows:- George B 1868 George B 1897 married Rose Leeming George B 1918 Married Ellen ?
Thanks
Because im confused is that Both me and my husband have Broadbents in our tree. The ones above are my husbands but my gg grandad is George Broadbent !! I'm trying to see if the families are somewhere connected but I think that it will be like trying to find a needle in a haystack judging by all the Broadbents there are in Bradford in 1800s to 1900s. What I do know is they are from the same area

Searching on FreeBMD http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl shows that George and Rose appear to have had 9 children between 1918 and 1938, the eldest of which was a George H.

Hi Dawn, I think it's most likely that the information found is the right family but there appear to be some anomalies in your information that we need to sort out. For example, you say George had a son called George who, in turn, also had a son called George born 1912 ish.
Looking at this 1901 census the son George would appear too young to have had a child in 1912:
BROADBENT, George E Head Married M 33 1868 Dyehouse Yarn Scourer Bradford, Yorkshire BROADBENT, Sarah E Wife Married F 34 1867 South, Staffordshire BROADBENT, William E Son Single M 13 1888 Worsted Spinning Bradford, Yorkshire BROADBENT, Ben M Son Single M 12 1889 Bradford, Yorkshire BROADBENT, Sarah A Daughter Single F 10 1891 Bradford, Yorkshire BROADBENT, Bella Daughter Single F 7 1894 Bradford, Yorkshire BROADBENT, Elsie Daughter Single F 5 1896 Bradford, Yorkshire BROADBENT, George Son Single M 3 1898 Bradford, Yorkshire BROADBENT, Ellen Daughter Single F 1 1900 Bradford, Yorkshire
Piece: 4153 Folio: 85 Page: 1 Registration District: Bradford Civil Parish: Bradford
Address: 102, Wapping Road, Bradford County: Yorkshire (West riding)
EDIT: George snr appears to have acquired a middle initial "E" not seen elsewhere.

I wholeheartedly agree with what Patchem says.
Dawn, I asked earlier "Which of George Broadbent's children is your direct line and who did they marry?"

Dawn,
You have put: 'a son called George b 1912 ish. '
You need to have the birth certificates to make sure you are following the correct line, as you are aware that there are many George Broadbents in Bradford.
Just because someone says that sisters have certain names does not mean that you have the correct ones.
Believing what other people tell you can lead to confusion and incorrect information, and copying what other people have in their trees is no recipe for success.

Hello Dawn, because there are quite a few George Broadbents around it would be much better if we had more info about the later generations to make absolutely certain we follow the correct one, especially given the confusion between Sarah & Elizabeth.
Which of George Broadbent's children is your direct line and who did they marry?
