Thanks Mel

Yes, I thought the 1867 date was correct for Hannah but I couldn't see any burial records for her.

I'd found the christening of Henry ?ine Gorse but hadn't found his death. I'm really confused about his middle name. I haven't found him on the 1891 census yet, :-D

The year of birth is'nt really right but it depends on who registered the death and whether they really knew how old he was.

Hi Dea,

Hannah's hubby was definately Henry Vine Gorse.

Dea

Dea Report 23 Mar 2014 15:00

Is this Henry's burial? - It looks a little young for him but the name matches:

Burial
10/05/1897 Henry V Gorse Philips Park Cemetery MConsecrated 43

Lancashire Death indexes for the years: 1897
Surname Forename(s) Age Sub-District Registers At Reference

GORSE Henry Vine 56 Cheetham Manchester CHE/91/214

Unfortunately there is no Hannah mentioned as buried in the same plot but there must be some connection.

Thanks He was a cotton waste dealer so that ties in,

I can't find Hannah on the 1851 census. Samuel Edge had died on the 27th of consumption and was buried on the 30th which was the time of the census. Also the 1851 census records for Hulme were badly damaged so the transcriptions aren't perfect. She should be living at 22 Chatham Street, Hulme, Lancashire, England

It looks as though Hannah died in 1867 although can't seem to find her burial records.
