Thanks all, how did you find out so much I can't seem to find thee results

I too have a problem finding the marriage of my grandparents. All of the census say that they are married. I did find just the name of someone who could be my grandfather but it only had his name and not the bride. Does anyone know why this would be so?

Interestingly, Elizabeth McLinton's sister Mary was married the same day Elizabeth married Moses Edward Teague.

NB Mary is two years older than Elizabeth, so this tallies very well with the 1871 Census for the McLinton family that alviegirl posted earlier.

Mary Mc LInton's husband Peter James Harper was also a mechanic.

Both couples were married by licence:

For some reason, as with the earlier transcript posted for Moses and Elizabeth by alviegal, the bride and groom's fathers have both been given the surname McLinton in the transcriptions. On the register image they are Edward Teague and Thomas Harper.
