Member Since: January 2007 Posts: 14 Send Message	I have an Arthur Lane who married a Jane Pearson 17/2/1886 in Netherton,Dudley,his age then was 20,his Father is named as Thomas Lane occupaton Blacksmith. I have tried to find a Birth 1866/7 for Arthur with a Father Thomas Lane to continue my Lane Family tree,with no success.Can anybody help? Kay Lane

I have gone down the James& Elizabeth Lane,line,until the marriage cert said Farther was Thomas Lane Sorry Potty this is my fist time,is this right now?

Mike in reply to 2 birth Dudley 1867 arthur Lane c6 114 & c6 2, I applied to Gro for birth cert with father Thomas,they couldn't find any match,I have now sent for the certs with those refs,awaiting reply but not that hopeful

I have seen both of these,I was particularly interested in 1881 census Thomas Lane 44 so birth date 1836/7 is about right & as he married Elizabeth Pearson born1949 in 1871 quite late for those days &she already had John Henry so wondered if he could have been Arthur Father with somebdy else as Arthur was born 1866/7 before this marriage,but still need definate proof.Will continue researching,thanks again P.S this Thomas is the brother of the James Lane who also had an Arthur 1867 & the Pearson surname is the same as Jane Pearson.
